Did not see the aurora; we would have had to drive 45 minutes or so away from light pollution, which we were not up to for various reasons last night.
I have been able to see it before, despite living so far south: once when I was 6 and lived in a place with very little light pollution, and then again in college when we thought nothing of staying up all night and driving to the country to see cool stuff in the sky.
