My hobbies are all excuses to collect pretty colors. I enjoy knitting, sewing, running, trombone-ing, gardening, & sci-fi short stories. Coding when necessitated and occasionally for fun. Microbiology for fun & (non-)profit.
The cake donuts came out perfectly crispy and browned, but everyone else thinks they're burnt.
Taking one for the team today as I save everyone from eating a maillard reaction. Heaven forbid they experience the delicious caramel notes!
I usually have to drive 45 minutes to a rural donut shop to get them like this! (Or an old coworker swings by with them on the way somewhere because he knows I like them.)
I made mini blueberry pies with an olive oil crust, ate an Oatmeal Cream Pie and a Chicken Pot Pie (thanks Little Debbie and Marie Callendar), and wore circles.
Shout out to USA Pan: that nonstick coating is for real. The pies popped out easily and the caramelly leaked filling pulled right off. (That blueberry caramel made a delicious cook's treat!)
That we can maybe have both poutine of rats, and poutine for rats.
