It doesn't always get enough light to bloom, depending on when it feels like showing up and if the oak leaves are in yet. (Or whether someone whacks it with a weedeater, like in 2020 which was the Thing that set me off that spring and made my husband realize that maybe I was under some stress, working that response.)
We're finally going to get that stump ground, and I'm not confident I'll dig up the tulip and replant it properly after, but I do enjoy it now. It has the tiniest bit of red at its edges!
