I've never stolen from a doctor, except if you count diagnoses.

Some doctors seem very unwilling to give diagnoses. They'll say, "yeah, it seems you have hEDS," but they won't put it on record, so every time you see a new doctor you have to explain that you have a connective tissue disorder, at least HSD, maybe hEDS, but hey look your thumb touches your wrist super easily.

It feels like theft, to eke out a diagnosis like this. But of course, unless you somehow actually steal medications or mobility devices, it doesn't provide much help. Sometimes stealing a diagnosis opens doors to a doctor who will give it willingly. But until then all you have are words.
