weve been reading Elementary Principles of Philosophy in a book club and its probably the clearest cut text to explain idealism, materialism, and metaphysics that i have seen. the book is organised in a way thats easy to follow along, where the concepts the author is introducing build off from each other: first giving historical context of what materialism and idealism is and describing their characteristics, then how theyve changed overtime, then what metaphysics is and NOW we can get into dialectical and then historical materialism. its been really interesting
also, i still needa read CURRICULUM OF THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF MARXISM-LENINISM PART 1 — The Worldview and Philosophical Methodology of Marxism-Leninism (long name i know) which goes into more depth about diamat, given that its a translation of a Vietnamese college textbook with EXTENSIVE annotations lmao
