I think the reason vampires don't have reflections is because they aren't physical creatures. they're memetic entities that exist only in the mind's eye. you can see them directly but not in a mirror because of this. animals that aren't fully sapient can only kinda see vampires and they don't look Like Humans so they get antsy around them. I'm so right
