unrelated (not unrelated) but i have discovered that every time the power flickers juuust enough, the fans slow down audibly.
to be quite honest, it's kind of neat because every other PC i've owned and operated would just go 'OH FUCK' and reboot or shut down the second the power flickered, my educated assumption is that this is because there's a chonk enough PSU in that machine to keep that from happening and also that computer's not under significant load rn.
