Watching the trans boys (saying boys bc most of the ones I’ve seen are kids) who detransitioned after quarantine on TikTok talking about how the only reason they detransitoned is because of the pressure they felt to return to ‘normal’ and be perfect ‘women’ for their families and the harassment they got from classmates is making me feel so sad.
Everytime someone complain about all the ‘faker’ trans boys who are ‘mass detransitioning’ I think about all the poor trans boys who were forced back into the closet because the world didn’t accept them.

My mom talks about it a lot, she's like "all these poor women ruined their bodies and are detransitioning!" because she hears about all the boys online who got convinced and/or pressured to present as girls again. So many people miss the actual reality of the situation and how bad transphobia really is today. I wish the best for these boys and men, honestly, I hope they're able to transition later in life
