If u put a potato in open space and then rescued it, would it be safe to eat? like the texture would probably be bad but would it kill u?

OK thinking about this more, a raw potato in a vacuum would probably turn into basically a rock, but a cooked potato might end up being more powdery. I'm pretty sure dehydrated cooked potato is what instant mashed potatos are made of, so I guess it might be fine?
Depending on how it gets transported and what your specific living conditions are, but it might be a bit more radioactive than your usual potato. Otherwise, the outer parts will be a bit dehydrated, but the core should be fine.
it's the radioactivity.. like how much would a potato absorb? like is there a 5 second vacuum of space rule?
