i've been pretty isolated from my friends since COVID sent me home from college in 2020, mainly because all but one live an hour north of me and all of my friends have Actual Jobs while i am still unemployed (autism and burnout babey!!!). it's been extremely rough to be in my early 20s and be so deeply alone all the time, and i'm not sure what i should do to be less lonely because it's not like i can just ask my friends to not be busy so we can hang out. I also have no idea how to meet people irl, since its not like meeting people online where i can just find spaces that happen to fit my exact interests (as far as i know? idk). if anyone has any tips aside from "hang in there" i would love to hear them!
