endwell

I have been home for much of a week. It's my favorite time of year to be home (excepting autumn) - it has been cool all week, with some rain and plenty of sun. I'll be heading back tomorrow and i am trying not to be excessively homesick, partly because it feels unbecoming. But I have greatly enjoyed doing a little gardening, taking some nice runs, jumping in the pond, and a little baking (strawberry shortcake, yellow cake). today a storm brushed through after being crystal clear for hours. It's so quiet, and smells like plants and dirt and life.
