Everyone was so eager to get in the last of their chosting. I got followers I don't think I would have gotten, and made connections I don't think I would have made, had we not had such a looming deadline of the October 1 read-only mode.

Someone I rebugged earlier compared this feeling to the end of a furry convention. Maybe there's something in that. Maybe making some kind of social media that only has write access one month out of the year, or something, would force people to really come together and make the most of it. I don't know. What I do know, is I'm glad I got to be with this little website, imperfect as it was, at the end of history.
