Kirby soundtracks are like

  1. Poyo ★ Village
  2. Waddle Dee's Picnic Time
  3. Infinite Void Nexus: Scars Upon a Forgotten Cosmos
  4. Do the Kirby Dance

The majority of the Kirby soundtracks are composed by the same pair - Jun Ishikawa and Hirokazu Ando. I don't know their actual relationship, but I like to believe it's a constant battle between a guy who's writing game music for a cuddly pink blob, and a guy who has really strong opinions on the 80s prog metal scene.

Kirby 64's soundtrack really shaped my standards and tastes for video game music. Its a game soundtrack I often end up daydreaming about and going back to. Sometimes I replay an emulation of it just to explore the music again.

I could imagine Jun and Hirokazu having a lot of polite arguments about "Direction with the current game's sound track" over coffee
