apparently, google has been adding these "frequently asked questions" (created by ai) to play store app pages. it's not on all of them, but it's on many, and sometimes it's the first thing you see on the page, front and center.
i got curious and started looking through google's apps to see if any of them were obviously wrong. surprise: here's "files by google" with an FAQ:
What's the benefit of upgrading to a paid version or making in-app purchases?
The in-app purchase or paid version of the app offers a number of benefits over the free version, including:• Higher file upload limits.
• Support for a wider range of file types.
• The ability to share files with others more easily.
• Access to exclusive features and content.
files does not have in-app purchases or a paid version.
if it's making shit up about google's own apps, imagine what it must be doing to third party ones. :)
