we can't solve it but we sure can come up with 50-60% of a stopgap solution for 5-10 years
I wish more people in the tech industry were able to recognize what can and cannot be solved by more computers.
my favorite is when a new tech solution is set in where an old one is still fully functioning, a la seattle's amazing parking lots with 6 or 7 different parking payment processors
