Notion introduced its AI editor in full today meaning that every empty line now greets you with this:
or this if you type the regular /command slash so I cancelled my paid plan since I used it to track all of my projects and collaborate with others on Other Secret Stuff. It's thankfully not as, like, world-ending to what I do so I'm not fretting too much but I am heartbroken because before this Notion was genuinely a "I have nothing bad to say about this"-type thing. Just a pleasure of a website to use that was routinely helpful in everything I did. Tracking my art projects, my personal writing, databases for expenses, etc. Finding an alternative that will be as simple to use will be hard.In the meantime I'm checking out https://obsidian.md/ which seems to be really powerful but considerably more user un-friendly. I'll take a learning curve, I guess, if it means I don't have to deal with AI bullshit because I am fucking sick of it and I hope it dies a swifter death than web3 did in the minds of silicon valley-types.
