cleared contest mode raid in Destiny 2 yesterday! lil' over 9 hours, probably could have done 8 since we had a lot of downtime from ppl getting food delivered and doing irl stuff in between some runs. we crushed it through!
If you are unfamiliar, contest mode is activated for the first 48 hours (previously 24) of a new raid in Destiny 2. It sets a fixed power level cap (1780) for all players from a -20 power level penalty applied across every encounter for added difficulty. It's called contest mode because it comes with a World's First Race for which team can complete the raid first, the contest being able to do that with the added difficulty, on top of needing to figure out raid mechanics and strategies with no prior knowledge.
