I just want to clarify I am not saying "I am not into extraction shooters" I am saying "I literally have no idea what an extraction shooter is" I assume it's like ... capture the flag but you extract the flag to the extraction point. idek
simply: it's Escape from Tarkov
more verbosely: it's a PVP-style game where you load into a map no equipment and what you find you keep including what you salvage off enemy players. you can bring that stuff with you into new runs but if you die, you lose all of it and start over.
regardless of anything people have to say about the gameplay or business model that trailer was fucking gorgeous. well paced with a good soundtrack too. some of the best in the business made that thing

Agreed 100%. And the dorks who are bemoaning the fact that it's a multiplayer extraction shooter:
a) shut up, killjoy
b) multiplayer was always a huge part of Marathon, and indeed all of Bungies games, did you really expect them not to make an entry into the latest hot multiplayer genre??

justice?? in a trailer?? immediately had all of my attention, kept it with the art just being stunning
I'm super curious, with the good reputation of bungie I rly wanna try this one (destiny feels too big for my tastes)
