i don't go to subway super often but every time im there nobody has once done this everyone just orders like they always have at subway
I order ONE thing at Subway, because I found the one combination of things they have that isn't gross to me. The idea that they could ever craft something on their own that is appealing to anyone is laughable.
this is very clearly attempting to compete with jimmy johns which is stupid because this is the opposite reason why i would patronize subway, as a place to buy sandwiches
i think about this whenever i see subway, the custom sandwich place, on doordash. but it doesnt have the ability to customize sandwiches on your order
yet other restaurants that are big on customising (like zambreros) manage it totally fine
What's frustrating is OCCASIONALLY one of these ~limited edition~ sandwiches turns out to be something I really like, and then I have to deal with "whelp this is nice but I guess I won't be able to eat it in four months"
i had a work per diem so I figured I'd try one - and I still feel bad for shelling out 18 CAD for it
