Checkin' out the Beastie Ball Demo, got it running on a Deck reasonably well.
Some notes for anyone else trying to run this thing on the Deck:
- I would set the Compatibility Tool to Proton 8.0-X. I think this may be experimental proton, so you may need to enable that in steam settings? It still runs under Proton 7.0, but it loads way faster under 8.0. It will still take a good chunk of time to load though (seems to be due to the audio assets having mixed directory separators like
audio/vo\file.wav) - The auto graphics settings thing for me chose a weird resolution (1600x900). I bumped this down to 1280x720, FPS at 30, max view distance, mid shadow quality. Seems to maintain a solid 30 FPS.
- It does run a bit hot, but seems to run fine?
