i'm a hair's breath away from being a music snob with what i think is good/bad eras of music
but also i think we should still be making complextro and that most of those producers have gone on to do different things is a bummer. im glad some of them found more interesting territory to explore! but i don't think folks like a-trak or wolfgang gartner are out there doing stuff that's particularly interesting to me right now. which sucks! cuz they're both excellent musicians but like... my plate's pretty damn full of 'kinda upbeat and radio-friendly dance tunes that are featuring one other producer and a vocalist' songs
related-but-unrelated is that i hope ghosts n' stuff at the very least was a gateway for people to discover better music and find out where rob swire was from
