the show is making fun of the reasons why she chose that party and mocks hank for how similarly superficial his own beliefs are
True, but many other episodes commit to Hank's political outlook as common sense and Luanne's as shallow and poorly thought out. There's a late episode (Bobby Rae) where Hank resolves the overarching conflict by putting down a student protest, to cite one example.

As an outsider observer, I do believe they were accusing the OP of possibly misunderstanding the context of the screenshot, but the following question mark indicates they are not sure and are asking her for confirmation.
