every time i open bluesky it's like the most rancid vibes possible with one post in there somewhere that's someone being like 'man it's so nice here'

every time i open bluesky it's like the most rancid vibes possible with one post in there somewhere that's someone being like 'man it's so nice here'
like it's definitely 'me', i don't follow anyone out of the ordinary there it's people i also follow here/friends/artists from twitter but it's still just like... what if a site any%'d to The Worst of Twitter in record time. the type of post that exists and goes around there, but also the way people interact with each other, makes my brain feel like those GIFs of people throwing a brick into a functioning drying machine
i swear it's New Twitter for People Who Discovered The Internet In 2022 it's infuriating
NOT THAT THEY WOULD KNOW BECAUSE YOU STILL CAN'T POST GIFS THERE FOR SOME REASON. FORMAT IS OLDER THAN I AM AND IT'S NOT SUPPORTED.
MEANWHILE, ON COHOST

I haven't even seen any particularly bad posts in the 5 days I've been on there and the vibes are still off, like it's just twitter with all the familiarity stripped away
even seeing a good post there I'm like "yeah, but what if I wasn't on this website instead?"
Bluesky’s Discourse is both interminable and terminal
Same vibes as being in a small, crowded room with people smoking or no one else wearing a mask.
already got people referring to it as the next discourse hose and i am not here for that shit
Yeah it's rough, really don't like how many people are pushing it as the next big social media site.
I don’t like it there and yeah I don’t understand the “it’s so nice here smile :)” posts
I hate the very real possibility that Bluesky will be where most people will migrate to just because "it's the closest thing to Twitter".
I don't realistically see a future where it's where "most" migrate because I think "most" people will simply just go elsewhere, but also because I don't think the site will really hold any water long term. It's a doomed idea.
Every time I open Cohost I see all the best shit ever and then one of the people I follow complains about how some feature is irritating to use, like the tiny images on the alt text thing and stuff like that. Exact opposite vibes.
Maybe it's because I don't follow anybody with a big account there, but the vibes there seem ok and everyone is very nice, people aren't really arguing or like attacking each other which was the thing that pushed me off Twitter long before the Muskpocalypse. Like it's definitely a different vibe from here but that's fine, I see them as being for very different things
