new discord update is fine but putting giant tiles at the top of the DMs tab for Games Friends Are Playing is psychotic. especially since it's 11:30AM and it's not games in there it's like, friends who are in Aesprite or other Steam-launched applications.

I hate this update so much, gods. The UI design bothers me, the changing icons are... squishy? What's going on there? Separating out DMs and servers like that? That just makes it harder to go from servers to recent DMs! I'm just... AAAAA
i'm not gonna lie i'm not entirely sure why people are upset at the tabs thing. it's obviously different and people hate change. it just adds one click to go from servers to DMs you have an unread message in but it makes it overall a lot easier to go from servers to DMs because you no longer have to pull the page out, the reach the far top left with your thumb, then click DMs
the icons being squishy and animated is dumb but idk i'm gonna not realise it's doing any of that like 6 hours from now
I've built up a lot of muscle memory around how to use Discord. How to navigate the UI quickly and smoothly. This update kinda ruins that.
Dark mode going from Dark Grey to Deep Navy Blue or whatever is my biggest gripe. OLED dark already exists! Dark Mode doesn't need to be that dark!
Everything is doing this lately! Slack added it for "people in your workplace you've never heard of" and I don't fucking understand it at all
