still really unable to process this one, man. it's making me feel like such a fake for never really playing the MP games until 3. it wasn't until then + Control that I got to appreciate the specific kind of energy he brought to those roles, but I could have had it in my life for so much longer
his performance in Alan Wake II is so incredibly good and we got so much of it... a really incredible final curtain but i'm just so very sad

i just finished re-playing the max payne trilogy last night and it dawned on me that james' performance as max is the reason why i always liked the franchise. this is fucking heartwrenching news. i wish him safe travels.
I'm grateful that what will ultimately be his final role in AW2 was so so good, but man... We keep losing such incredible talent so young, it's been a rough year
