If you want album recommendation, I really like Peepshow. It is less punk than earlier album (don't get me wrong, I love punk), but I really like the ethereal vibes of it.
And the titular song is a classic.

@dog sent me over here with a Siouxsie-shaped bat signal. Siouxsie and the Banshees are one of my all-time favorite bands! All their albums are at the very least solid and most of them are great, but in terms of absolute essentials I’d name:

  • The Scream - Absolutely a perfect debut and one of the all-time great post-punk albums. There’s a rougher energy to it than a lot of the Banshees later more polished work and imo it makes for a really exciting listen. John McKay, the first of the band’s revolving door of guitarists, is fantastic here. Their cover of Helter Skelter is chef’s kiss
  • Juju - Hands-down the darkest and most goth Banshees album. It can be a lot sometimes but it’s dramatic and packed with bangers and sees arguably the band’s best lineup in peak form. I especially love “Spellbound” (iconic!!!) and “Monitor”
  • Peepshow - My favorite Banshees album, they go all in here on a kind of strings-accented cinematic goth-pop that defined the last phase of their career. I have this album framed on my wall, it’s so good

Also for something a little more of a deep cut, I loooooove The Thorn EP. They recorded it with the Tinderbox guitarist and it’s full of revisits of early Banshees tracks, it’s a delight.

Really though you can’t go wrong with anything between Juju and Tinderbox - that’s absolutely the band at their peak
