In French, the plural for kiss (kisses) is un baiser (bisous) but the plural can also be used in singular form as un bisou which functionally means the same thing, a kiss, but is a lot more casual/friendly/cute and I think English should have that too.

Like there's smooch which definitely sounds cuter but the act/word itself implies a more passionate gesture which is not at all the case with bisou.

Anyway just thoughts I'm having as I watch the worst French movie I'll probably see this year.

Netflix produced an adaptation of The Wages of Fear (which was famously adapted by Friedkin as 'Sorcerer', one of my favorite movies of all time) starring Franck Gastambide, who is a blight on modern French cinema simply for attempting to revive the Taxi franchise and somehow making the most offensive one out of all of them.
