this past year has got to be one of the most creatively bankrupt in all of mainstream music. i have never seen so many artists pander to tiktok all at once. nonstop trend chasing, banking on nostalgia.
other than very few gems (shoutout raye), everything popular sounds like shit now. it seems like the moment you break out, you sacrifice quality for fame.
the major labels only want their artists to be cash cows. there are industry plants popping up left and right, and no one wants to talk about it. but if we don't talk about it, how are people supposed to catch on?
i can see through everything and i will keep speaking up. i don't care if i'm screaming into the void, or if you're tired of hearing it. for the good of all music fans, you must know what really goes on behind the scenes. exposing shady business is the only way to exterminate it.
go indie or go home.
end creative monopolies.
support small, independent content creators.
fuck the industry.
