while music has played a big part throughout my life, i learned to appreciate it way more when i started finding out what goes into it all. production tutorials, livestreams, behind the scenes, etc.
i highly recommend everyone else do the same. it adds a whole 'nother layer of perception to every listening experience, even if you're not a producer yourself.
