i find musicians deleting content just to get folks talking incredibly funny because you know the executive who suggested it doesn't understand the internet at all. the idea just reeks of boomer.
archiving exists. torrenting exists. filesharing exists. always has, always will.
i get that this is all a marketing campaign, but it still rubs me the wrong way because i know there are folks who'll take it seriously.
like if you're gonna drop something, just drop something. don't take your fans on a wild goose chase they didn't sign up for, even if some will welcome it.
