When I was a kid I knew about one trans woman, thought it was about the rarest thing. I didn't think I could possibly be something so rare, until much more recently when I realized I personally knew several trans people and it's not actually impossibly rare. Seeing so many writers and podcasters and youtubers coming out recently is a delight. We're not so rare, and so many of us now get to be happy.
