Since 1998 there was this french channel on satellite television called Game One. For most of the time they broadcasted game footage and game trailers edited into music videos. Even though they had little actual news and reviews shows, the idea of a dedicated gamer focused tv station back then was pretty wild to me as a kid.
I think they were on Astra, but it might have still counted as freetv so you might easily be able to find an archive of their music videos to play if you want some mediocrely edited gamer tv nostalgia fuel. "Game one" is a terrible search term on youtube and google unfortunately.
