In 2013, Norwegian comedians Vegard and Bård Ylvisåker hatched a plan for the next season of their TV show. They would write and record a terrible EDM single, complete with music video, and film a mockumentary about their failed attempt to make it big in the music industry. The plan was flawless; the only way it could go wrong was if the song actually did become a hit.

On September 3rd, 2013, "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" was released to the world. It was a number 1 hit in Norway, and in the top ten in many other countries, including the United States. The Ylvisåkers failed utterly to produce the flop they were aiming for, and the result was glorious.

Whether you were a fan ten years ago, or missed the craze entirely, do yourself a favor and listen to The Fox today.
