I've bounced off so many other things and I can't help but agree here

Very similar feelings, though at the moment I'm not harboring much hate (though there's been plenty of people who have had it out for this site for years, for no good reason).

It's not been perfect but it's been better than anywhere else. This is just the end of Posting for me too.

It was great seeing your longposts, I hope some of them become CRD videos one day. But I'm 100% with you, I don't think I'm ever going to get on any social media again after this is gone and I've been saying that from the first day I read someone talking shit about Cohost.

I'm still waiting for the newspost to load so I'm not fully informed yet, but this sucks so bad. This was for me one of the last social medias too, beside my own tiny Mastodon account that like 3 people see.

Fuck.

Edit: The newspost finally loaded. I wish I had stayed more informed, I feel regret in not helping out more. That said, some of the comments on that post are vile. I'll miss this site, even tho I barely used it, it still meant a lot to me that it was here...

I've never felt so at ease on a website, I really could post whatever and it was fun and I didn't have to feel anxious about what audience might interpret it in the worst faith possible or just ruin the fun. The community here has been among the best I've ever seen, and I'm both honored to have been a part of it and incredibly sad to see it go. Fuck capitalism. We'll always have eggbug

I didn't really follow anything about Cohost so I don't really understand whats going on.
I came here because the community section of a website I frequented was being killed off and Cohost was kinda a 'lifeboat' for us. Then through one of them I found out you were here. - and your like... One of the few people outside of that group I follow.
So yeah... I am sad...

Thank you for being active here, always loved seeing what you had to share or your thoughts on current technology.

I enjoy your semicoherent ramblings and will definitely miss seeing them in text form. Capitalism is just so grand.

I don't blame you for not wanting to deal with social media, it's a mess, but if you ever do any kind of longform posts like here anywhere again you've got at least one interested reader lined up.

I know it's useless but Mastodon really works for hyper specific nerd interests just like the good old days before the average person got on the internet/before social media. It's somewhat slow too in that old way but the hits are good.
