Wasn't exactly a great show, but it was better than I expected, and had a genuinely good premise. Expected it to be a kinda mid parody of yakuza and blood opera tropes, turned out to just be those things but played 100% completely straight--just with animal-themed maids. Really like the way the anime captured the pale, saturated colors and backgrounds of late-'90s anime to make it appropriate for the period the show takes place in. Not a revelation or anything, but certainly was worth the watch.
