enjoying the little things in life
With the chickens (and my neighbor has them too) + living in an older house, we can get a few sneaking in at a time. Thankfully with all the house work we were doing this summer we noticed a couple spots they would be able to get in and were able to patch it up.
My cats do a good job, but I like to not see them as much as possible
I'm okay with it when the mouse is whole, but Zita is a bit feral and if she manages to be the catcher/steals it from Puff Puff (the far more successful hunter afaict) the question quickly becomes "is there a second half I have to find or did she eat it this time" 😬
I'm not even sure where I'd begin to patch things up in our house re: mice--not only is the house Old it's also been moved once and then had a basement dug under it (I don't think these happened at the same time, but also I have no idea how to confirm either scenario. I think we have a news clipping either about the move or about its old location somewhere tho, which is neat)
