when you gotta commiserate with a barista to skip a level it truly becomes an experience 😌
(I also forgot about all the little endless games and rhythm toys you unlock by superbing songs; there's some really good ones!)
I had only played the original until recently. My mom and I used to play it all the time. I recently downloaded the 3DS one to try out and I've been having fun with it! It's one game I always hope to see come up when there is a Nintendo direct.
The original is the only one I've done too! I was something like a senior and highschool when the 3DS came out and all of my power was going towards as debt free a possible college degree as possible so I never got one. I've been thinking now is probably a better time to try to get one, so I might have to start watching ebay etc
I totally recommend it! Especially if you are able to homebrew your 3DS. The update Nintendo made this year did make homebrewing a 3DS a little more difficult/less accessible than it used to be, but the guide breaks everything down in a way that is easy to follow imo. I set up homebrew on my New 3DS and it did not require me to use any extra programs, just mostly moving some files around and using an exploit with the built in web browser. It was a little fussy to set up (mostly the part with the web browser, sometimes it doesn't work the first time) but still very doable. The older 3DSs are a little more difficult, mostly because you need to use Python 3, so it can only be done on Windows or Linux (unless you use another method, but all of them are a bit more complicated). I haven't done it myself, but I've read through the guide for it and it still seems fairly straightforward and it tells you everything you need to do with Python.
A of this is assuming the 3DS is fully updated to the newest firmware. If you are lucky and get one that isn't fully updated, you might be able to use one of the older, easier ways to homebrew a 3DS.
good to know!! Homebrewing my DSi was suuuper easy and I've set up a few python programs for Splatoon so I'm excited to give it a go
If you have experience with Python I think it would be a breeze! I've never used it before, but it seemed fairly straightforward.
