haven't shot my bow all summer (I would say it's apparently a cool weather activity for me but uh. it was like 85 or something today)

was feelin wiggly so I decided to go and shoot some arrows but then
I lost another one :|

us yesterday looking for the arrow, "it's like it was swallowed by a black hole!"

Gooseberry this morning, trying to find something (triumphantly, since she succeeded), "it's like it was in a black coal!"

those two things are Already on the list 😅

I love skeet shooting so the archery version is very appealing and I feel like the price-per arrows i gonna be decent if I make them, especially since I want feathers and not vanes

yes, it's decently affordable once you have the tools! you might also enjoy finding your own wood shafts if you have the right shrubs and trees near you. and turkey feathers are often free... of course i still end up buying dyed feathers because when i shoot an arrow with beautiful natural turkey feathers into the tall grass i know it will simply never be seen again.

finding or making shafts themselves sounds like a particularly terrible task for me, specifically, but it may be interesting to try eventually 😅

I know I'm going to need dyed feathers (and probably some pink or chartreuse paint for the shafts too) for at least a while for visibility; otherwise I think I have about everything I'd need except for maybe a tapering tool for nocks and points
