I have not cleaned any of my TWSBIs in a loooong time 😬
The barrel to the ECO still has some ink residue in the grooves near the transition to the feed so I'll have to scrape at that with a toothpick or something later
I love my TWSBIs, but the clear plastic does have some brittleness issues (clear plastic tends to in general!) so the Mini has some breaking threads; I hear TWSBI sends replacements so I sent a email 🤷
In this process I relearned I have another Go with a bold nib! Excited to play with that this month; I'll have three nib sizes 😌
....Maybe this winter will be the one I finish restoring my Parker Vacumatic? The last step is terrifying: carefully heating and adjusting the feed's shape so it doesn't flex the nib tines out of alignment
who rented out the space to host his fountain pen club and sent everyone home including us baristas on shift (who were also into fountain pens) fountain pen cleaning kits full of pipettes and other nice tools and little containers for soaking stuff (plus a jar of beautiful green ink and a notepad I'm sad I used all of the paper in cuz it was real nice); good guy. My favorite cleaning tool is now one of those infant snot sucking bulbs; a truly great tool for running water through feed assemblies
