honestly i wonder how not being able to see Numbers is gonna affect the way people use this site. plus the whole, being able to do super long posts. like, i assume it'll incentivize people to be more thoughtful, because it seems like the only way you can tell a post is popular is by its comment count! you have to say something so clever people will be like "hmm! very insightful! here's how i think about it: " back at you
alternatively, you could say something bad that everyone hates, so they say "wow, this sucks!" back at you
you'd still have to come up with something exquisitely bad for that to work... takes some thought as well! (also hey do i know you?)
true!
as to if you know me, if you do, it isn't with much more familiarity than just as "internet foxgirl", so who's to say in the end?
i mean i know, and know of, several ppl named kate. it'd be nice to know your twitter (assuming you have one), so i have a context for who you are hehe
it's funny to watch the wheel get reinvented in real time. in the absence of an upvote button ive seen multiple people reply to comments with "+1"
👋 just checking this out... will we also get es's half-assed math class on here? huge fan of it!
hiya! not sure, maybe! depends on how things shake out. this is definitely a better medium for it than twitter, though! (but at the same time i feel a bit like, if i'm going to write blog posts, it'd probably be better to just get a blog and link to it from twitter… so who knows)
makes sense! while i do have a blog, i feel like i need to spend much more effort polishing things before posting something on my blog, compared to here ... that might be a problem with me and not with blogs though ^^ anyway, i don't plan to stop reading on twitter unless things turn really really bad there
