me too, I miss that era of car design a lot. I try and shoot every nineties car I see now because there's a weird romanticism to a pre-9/11 era that draws me in; the cars are goofy and stupid and not Militarized and Huge

If you are looking for used, I've had good experiences with MPB the two times I bought from them. They don't seem to use plastic packing materials, which is a plus.

aaa, wish I could offer to help repair it, but I don't think I have a reliable way to calibrate it, even if I had a camera body to mount it on for testing. (assuming it's not a Nikon F-mount)
it is actually an F-mount, but no worries - I have gotten so much good use out of it, it's alright.
KEH has been good for me buying used lenses. But not sure if they are really cheap, but they do inspect them and you have a good idea of how they will perform. Bought my Canon FT-B and lenses there and it's been good.
