in my mind its all furry as an umbrella term, scalies are popular enough to have a sub category largely due to dragons im pretty sure. I actually don't know if there are any words for other sub-categories. Sometimes ppl call me a scalie bc i have a shark sona but i personally don't ID with that I ID with furry

birds are usually just called avian but apparently 'featheries' was a real term at some point in time. but furry is real an umbrella term so any anthro animal counts under it, even if it has no fur at all
