That's so felt. Technically I'm a domme leaning switch (Not "I'll top to make people happy switch" but "I'll sometime switch once in a blue moon but I prefer being dominant") but like...if I'm using :3, I'm not feeling subby. I'm either feeling cutesy cuddly or the most depraved, unhinged shit is going through my head. No middle ground.

I'm the exact same way. I'm a domme but a switch, in the sense that I am still the one dominant in the situation even if I'm the one receiving.

Im with you on all of that, especially that last line. Like...let people enjoy things. It's cute when someone sends one of those "How girls who use :3 want to be held" and then follows it with a :3 :3 :3, and it's cute when my partner brats at me by responding to me making that face with the meme because I've consented to it. Those are like...people having fun.

But posting that randomly makes baby dommes uncomfortable about using it. It gets used to mock people, or having someone I only casually know reply to me randomly using the :3 with that meme and trying to dominate me? Especially when it's a whole-ass Cis man? Like bro I already killed one man and reshaped his body into mine, do you think this goes well for you? One of the many dangers of stereotyping.

Also at some point I could do a whole-ass post about how we turned calling someone a bottom into an insult but that's a whole separate post.

God, that part about consent is so spot on. I would add more, but you nailed it on the head. People finding comfort in things is one thing, but forcing it upon others and keeping them from being able to express themselves in the way they want is such a huge fucking problem.
