There's a boat lock in the Netherlands with a little door for letting migratory fish pass through that a worker has to open for each fish. There's a doorbell to notify staff, not that the fish can operate a doorbell. Instead, there's a livestream positioned to show if a fish is by the door and at any given time there are people watching the livestream to ring the doorbell to help out the fishies.
There's a guy by the name of James Harrison who has a super rare type of blood plasma that's used to treat Rh disease which infants can suffer from. He donated plasma every 3 weeks since 1954 until 2018 when he reached the age that you can't donate any more. During that time he provided plasma that resulted in the survival of 2.4 million babies, including his own daughter.
