Sometimes I catch myself still using corporate terms about my job, so I’ll say I have to “get to workl meaning I have to start writing, or that I’m “on the cock” meaning I’m working, or just referring to writing days as my shift. I just am amused by how that sounds given that half the time I’m saying these things I’m still wearing pajamas.
