So I’m going to be posting some photos of myself as replies to this post (CoHost got fucky about posting all them in this post.) I’m not doing this for Online Internet Validation1 because that being a primary motivation for doing something is bound to backfire if no one provides the validation.
No, I’m doing this because these photos share two things in common. One is that I feel pretty when I look at them. The other is that I remember feeling pretty when I took them. And that means, when I see notifications from those posts being liked or shared, or when I scroll down the feed far enough my own posts pop up, or when I look at my profile I will be reminded that I have felt happy about how I looked before, and I will be happy with my looks again.
