On the subject of Akira Toriyama. DQ9 was an integral part of my childhood. Played that shit from age 8 onwards. Developing a brain over my time with it allowed me to slowly realise how excellent the monsters' designs were (as well as how great the UK localisation of names was! Like seriously the exposure to pun names has probably had some lasting effect on me). It took until after I read Dragon Ball to realise Toriyama was responsible for its designs, too - made perfect sense when I realised. RIP to a real one
