Several years ago, goonstation coder Keelin was developing their materials system.
This would allow various items to be made from specific materials with their own properties and players could make their own stuff out of it and exploit those same material properties themselves. Neat!
Well, while testing it we added some silly materials alongside the expected metals, glass and such. Keelin asked me to draw a texture for a pizza material. It's great, it's got little pepperonis on it!
a fun twist on this is that there are some chemical reagents that, when smoked, apply effects to the environment they contact. cheese smoke makes little cheese wedges. chocolate smoke makes chocolate bars. carpet smoke (yes, carpet smoke) makes the floor into cheap shitty carpet.
pizza smoke turns things into a pizza version of itself.
for a long time, this included things like the overlays that created lighting effects, resulting in large parts of the station becoming blue and cyan -- from the pizza's yellow-and-red cheese-pepperoni texture being applied to the lighting layer.
oh tg had something like that with a random event that makes vents spew foam with random reagents. it often had glitter that makes the air look like there's plasma in there
it had to be removed and rewritten and readded several times because it caused tremendous performance issues
there was another thing (i think they fixed it too) where foam would duplicate reagents inside it wildly if it was in a confined space. you could lock a monkey (or yourself) in a toilet and inject it with 1000u of gunpowder just from one foam grenade. and boom portable bomb
