translators on social media have so much power. they could literally just blast out something like “really disappointed that nintendo of america named it super mario wonder instead of the more accurate name, ‘super mario bros.: luigi fucks a cat in this one’” and i have no choice but to believe them. like what am i supposed to do in response to that? learn all of japanese because i doubt one guy? no! that guy has supreme power over me in matters of telling me how things should and shouldn’t be translated and i have no choice but to bow
