I don't know who needs to hear it, but because I brought it up with someone else in less direct words, breaking the cycles does require you to stop beating yourself up, too. often, especially yourself.

don't intellectualize it, just work to move to redirect or move it until it's not causing itself imo. this isn't to trivialize the work and I know it's not easy, but it does end up driving itself in some ways.
